Who we are

StackPlus Inc. ("StackPlus", "we", "our") builds AI automation, AI agents, and custom software. This policy explains what personal information we handle when you visit stackplus.ca or contact us, why we handle it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

We are the data controller for the information described here. Our registered address is Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact form. Your name, email address, phone number, and the message you write.
• Booking a call. Your name, email address, chosen time, and anything you add to the booking notes. This is collected by Cal.com on our behalf.
• Email. Anything you choose to send us directly.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data. Pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and how you move through the site.
• Session recordings and heatmaps. Microsoft Clarity records how visitors interact with pages, in aggregate, to help us find usability problems.

We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive personal information such as government identifiers, health information, or payment card numbers through this website.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and schedule a call.
• To deliver, support, and improve the services you engage us for.
• To understand which pages and campaigns are useful, so we can improve the site.
• To send follow-up messages about a project you contacted us about. We do not add you to a marketing list without your agreement.
• To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent for analytics and marketing cookies, on legitimate interests for running and securing the site, and on the steps necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use two kinds:

• Essential. Needed for the site to function. These cannot be switched off.
• Analytics and advertising. Set by the third-party services listed below to measure traffic and campaign performance.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers offer a Do Not Track signal. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the site or contact us.

Third-party services we use

These providers process data on our behalf. Each has its own privacy policy governing what it collects.

• Google Analytics 4 (Google) for traffic and page view measurement.
• Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) for heatmaps and session replay.
• Meta Pixel (Meta) for measuring the performance of Facebook and Instagram campaigns.
• LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn) for measuring the performance of LinkedIn campaigns.
• Cal.com for scheduling calls and storing the booking details you provide.
• Google Workspace (Google) for delivering contact form submissions to our inbox.
• HubSpot for storing enquiry details in our customer relationship management system so we can follow up.

Several of these providers are based in the United States, so your information may be processed outside Canada under their respective transfer safeguards. We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Client records: for the life of the engagement and up to 7 years afterwards, to meet Canadian tax and accounting requirements.
• Analytics data: according to each provider's retention settings, typically 14 months or less.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law, and under the GDPR if you are in the UK or EU, you can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
• Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it.
• Stop using it for marketing.
• Provide a copy in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent you previously gave.

Email us and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to your local supervisory authority.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify affected people and the relevant regulator if a breach creates a real risk of significant harm.

Children

This site is intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
